It was becoming a paperwork nightmare. He had to balance out his offers to create stable profits across the board. The answer to his problem? Job costing.
Mark’s number one tip for every landscape is “figure out your job costing.” Business owners need to understand how much it costs to do the job they’re selling. In turn, they’ll price it right the next time and will be able to focus on efficiency when doing work. Consequently, their business will become more and more profitable. Learn the business skills
Mark says before you start doing any contract work as an owner-operator-entrepreneur, you need to understand how to run a business. Because doing so profitably is the hardest part of the job, by far.
